Little bitty Boot steps
So normally. . . . when Lilybear has her boots on for night time or nap time, she is up in out arms or asleep as it is usually right before nap/bedtime that we put them on. Well, I was watching a friends kids, and she decided that she wanted to stay up later that usual. So I let her down with her boots on. We kept trying to tell her just to crawl around as we have laminate flooring through the house. Being the stubborn child that she is. . . she decided to attempt to stand up anyways. I let her try while i sat near by just to see if she could do it. . . AND SHE DID! But Lilybear didn't even stop there. It was as if she was thinking to herself. . . "well if I can stand up, I should be able to walk. . . " So I witnessed Lilybear take three steps in her boots, on the laminate floor for the first time ever! It was pretty nerve wracking, but neat at the same time. She was sooooo proud of herself too! She was used to walking around a bit in them before when she was in boots 23 hrs a day, but we had foam mats down everywhere for her to have some traction. So proud that my baby girl is growing up, and pushing boundaries, and proving to me and her daddy that being born with clubfeet will hold her back from NOTHING! She never ceases to amaze me! Love you baby girl!
